Mr. John Campbell is a Physiotherapist with specialist training in Sports and Exercise Medicine. For ten years he held the position of Deputy Programme Manager, Sport and Development at the CARICOM Secretariat in Georgetown Guyana. At the Secretariat, Mr. Campbell was tasked with the responsibility of developing programs using sport as a tool for the advancement of people. Mr. Campbell was an active member of the Rotary Club of Georgetown (Guyana) and was instrumental in the successful establishment of a major after school development centre and program for underprivileged youth. While in Guyana, Mr. Campbell was very active in music and became a founding member of Georgetown’s leading musical ensemble – The Georgetown Jazz Project.
Prior to his relocation to Guyana, Mr. Campbell served at the national level through his involvement with the Jamaica Netball Association and the Jamaica Basketball Association. For these organizations, he rendered services in sports rehabilitation and strength conditioning. An avid sports man and Physical Educator, Mr. Campbell was a teacher at Calabar High School prior to his transition to Physiotherapy.
