SHINIQUE WALTERS, PhD
Shinique Walters is a Lecturer with the Department of Government, Research Fellow at the Centre for Leadership and Governance and Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor with the USAID- Caribbean Clean Energy Project. She has worked on a number of International, Regional and Local projects that have contributed to both local and regional development. She has also published several reports and academic papers.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the Department of Government, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. She obtained a Masters in Gender and Development Studies and a BSC degree in International Relations (major) Culture Studies and Political Science (minors). She has worked in the areas of Project Management, Institutional Research, Monitoring and Evaluation as well as Gender Affairs. Her mission is to work in conjunction with a team to ensure the implementation of organizational strategies with an intention to augment overall strategic decisions while striving to maintain professional and corporate customs through effective leadership and transformational best practices.
She is conscientious and self-motivated with great enthusiasm and determination to succeed. She is hard working, reliable and resourceful with excellent organisational and staff management skills, combined with the ability to prioritise a substantial workload. She is proficient in SPSS, NVIVO and Microsoft Applications, a team player, a good leader who can motivate staff in the most difficult of circumstances; and is able to work under pressure and can interact with personas at varying levels
