Lieutenant Colonel Oral Khan

 

 

Lieutenant Colonel Oral Khan is a retired military officer who continues his public service in a civil capacity as Chief Technical Director in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.  His passion for service to the youth is evident in his involvement in a number of youth organisations over the years.  In addition to serving the youth of  the Wesleyan Holiness Church, he has also been a member several uniformed youth groups notably the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force; The Scouts Association; and Jamaica Red Cross Youth Organisation.  He was also the first co-ordinator of the national Safe Schools Programme and served with the Violence Prevention Alliance, both groups focusing on the safety of our youth.  Today he is Commissioner of the South East Area of the St John Ambulance Association of Jamaica where his responsibilities include the St John Youth Division. He is Chair of the Uniformed Youth Groups Committee which coordinates the joint activities of the recognized uniformed youth groups and he serves as a Board member of Hands Across Jamaica for Righteousness .  He still finds time to mentor youth at his Alma Mata Mannings School.
